This 1 hr class will incorporate practices that will settle, ground and relax you. We will start with 15 to 20 mins of very gentle movement to bring mindful attention to the body, this can be done in a small space, you could even practice from your bed.

We'll then continue into a deep guided relaxation, you can lie down or sit, whatever feels best for you.  We will explore different options, week to week, so that you may find out what's the most optimal way for you to let go and relax. We'll use different styles of meditation and mindfulness so you'll end up with a toolkit of practices to use whenever you need to relax.

No previous yoga or meditation experience is needed. 

Benefits of this type of class include increased body awareness, resilience, and mental clarity. Research supports these claims: one study found that after a guided meditation and yoga nidra program, healthcare workers reported a significant increase in mindfulness, which could help them deal with their stressful work environment. Another study found that students who followed a month-long yoga nidra practice reported an improved sense of happiness, alertness, anger control, and self confidence. Research also suggests yoga nidra may improve heart rate variability which is an indicator of how well your heart can “switch gears” and respond to stressful situations.
